Axis

Emma and Jason Raulls are fraternal twins who've had to depend on each other since birth for protection, love, and sustenance.
Both are subjected to physical and mental abuse, but as the twins grow they learn to cope with the pain differently.
Emma chooses to become a police officer for the Writhen City Police Department, battling her demons by releasing others from their own.
Jason seeks to do the same thing but achieves it in a different way by becoming a crime lord and an abuser "hitman."
Eventually both twins are forced to reunite under less-then-favorable circumstances, and Emma is forced to choose between loyalty to herself and the law or loyalty to her brother.

The final product of my 5th HL Art project
It's called "Axis" because it refers to the physical and mental symmetry of the twins, the yin-yang thing sort've going on between them, the fine line between justice and vengeance, and because Emma likes math

I was in a daze for these past 2 weeks and was busy working on other things too, so I rushed this last night

This project is based off of the different interpretations of loyalty, where the reader views the actions of the characters based on their own definition of loyalty and such.
I was sort've inspired by the book Montana 1948 for this project, which had the same kind of conflict in it

And though this project was sort've just a filler and kind of rushed, I like the characters anyway.
Especially Jason (who was totally inspired by Jason Todd, though I named him Jason because it means "to heal," not because it's Jason's name).
It was actually harder to draw them looking like each other then anything, because I didn't want Jason looking to feminine or Emma looking too masculine. But for a rush job it looks okay.

For this next HL Art project I hope to have a much better time making it. I'm going to try and make a Flash comic

Hopefully better things won't be far off. See you
